The Central Asian Conference on Climate Change (CACCC-2025) will be held in Ashgabat from May 13 to 15, where government officials and international experts will discuss climate finance mechanisms and the implementation of environmental initiatives in the region.

The event, organized by the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia jointly with the World Bank and other international partners, will focus on mobilizing financial resources and strengthening regional cooperation in the fight against climate change.

The conference programme includes a discussion of national achievements of the countries of the region in the field of climate adaptation, as well as a presentation of the results of work on the third version of Nationally

Determined Contributions (NDC 3.0). Particular attention will be paid to strategies for transition to a "green" economy and ensuring water and energy security.

The conference, now in its seventh year, is particularly relevant given the region’s shared climate challenges, including rising temperatures, desertification and accelerated glacier melting. Participation is possible in person or online, with registration for in-person participation closing on 28 February 2025.
