On November 25, Turkmenistan Ambassador to France Maksat Charyev met with the President and founder of the Crans Montana Forum and the World Diplomatic Academy (WDA) Jean-Paul Carteron. During the meeting, possible areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Crans Montana Forum were discussed, according to the social network page of the Turkmen diplomatic mission.
Carteron expressed interest in organizing a prestigious international forum in Ashgabat. The main goal of the event is to promote Turkmenistan’s leadership, demonstrate its economic potential, strategy of active neutrality and strengthen international cooperation.
Jean-Paul Carteron noted that key topics such as energy, transport, sustainable development, as well as promoting South-South cooperation and the integration of developing countries into the global economy, could be included in the forum’s agenda.
The Crans Montana Forum is the second most important international forum after the World Economic Forum in Davos. Its events bring together heads of state, leading politicians, representatives of international organizations and businesses from around the world to discuss key global issues and strengthen international cooperation.
