An exhibition of museum exhibits united by the theme “Independence of the Country – the Glory of Our Motherland” has been launched in the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. The exhibition is dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.
As reported by “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, the purpose of the exhibition is to show the unity of the Turkmen people and introduce visitors to rare museum exhibits.
The exhibition opens with a portrait of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, next to which is the State Flag and the Coat of Arms of the country.
Among the exhibits are gifts to the President, which are kept in the museum’s storage facilities. Thus, almost the entire exhibition area is represented by models of famous buildings in Turkmenistan. The models are made of gilded metal and inlaid with precious stones. Each such exhibit is a gift from delegations of foreign countries who visited the country on a business visit.
Among the gifts from compatriots, a model of a diesel locomotive from railway workers, a display case with school textbooks from the Ministry of Education, a five-volume collection of works by the poet, philosopher and ancient healer Abu Ali ibn Sina, as well as a seven-volume edition of Türkmenistanyň dermanlyk ösümlikleri by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and many other exhibits attract special attention.
The exposition is decorated with vases, cups, glass and metal vessels, carpet panels and paintings depicting architectural structures of Turkmen cities, all hand-made by talented craftsmen.
