Flights on the route Ashgabat – Kazan – Ashgabat were redirected to Moscow

Turkmenistan Airlines announced changes to its flight schedule to the Russian Federation. Starting from June 2, the carrier temporarily suspends flights on the Ashgabat – Kazan – Ashgabat route. Instead, the planes will fly to Moscow.

According to an official statement on the Turkmen Airlines website, passengers with tickets for flights to Kazan will be able to use them to fly to Moscow without additional fees. Moreover, the airline is offering a free transfer from Moscow airport to Kazan from June 2 to 17 for those who have already purchased tickets to the capital of Tatarstan.

For the convenience of passengers traveling from Kazan to Ashgabat, a free transfer from Kazan to Moscow airport will also be organized. Passengers are recommended to arrive at Kazan airport 3 hours before the departure time indicated on the ticket.

The airline offers two options for passengers:

1. Re-issuance of tickets from the route Ashgabat – Kazan to Ashgabat – Moscow without additional fees.
2. Full refund without deductions for those who do not want to fly through Moscow.
“Turkmenistan Airlines apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks passengers for their understanding,” reads a message on the air carrier’s official website.
