A delegation from the Faculty of Tourism of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture went to Kazakhstan to participate in a regional training for future guides along the route of the Great Silk Road.
The Turkmen delegation included six students and a teacher.
Asmannews reports with reference to the Institute, the training is organized by the EU-UNESCO, and it will take place from August 27 to 29 in Almaty.
Representatives of educational institutions related to the development of tourism in Central Asia will take part in the training.
Training within the framework of the EU-UNESCO project “Silk Road Heritage Corridors in Central Asia - International Aspects of the European Year of Cultural Heritage” is aimed at improving the level of training of future guides with an emphasis on preserving and promoting the heritage of the Silk Road, as well as promoting sustainable tourism in Central Asia, notes source.
