Turkmenistan is taking practical measures to strengthen its international financial rating and authority, as well as to build up partnerships with relevant structures, in particular, with the Fitch Ratings Agency (Great Britain).

This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister H. Geldimyradov at a Government meeting on November 22.

As reported, as a result of the analysis conducted by the above-mentioned organization, Turkmenistan's credit rating increased in August of this year. Having submitted a corresponding proposal for increasing bilateral cooperation with the Agency for consideration by the head of state, the Deputy Prime Minister reported that this step is intended to contribute to increasing the volume of foreign investment attracted to the country, simplifying lending conditions, and, in general, expanding the foreign economic activity of our state.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that effective work is being carried out to strengthen the country's international financial status, and cooperation is also being carried out with authoritative rating agencies around the world. Having approved the submitted proposal on the further development of Turkmenistan’s foreign economic activity, the head of state instructed the vice-premier to take appropriate measures in this direction, TDH reports.
