1. The Russian company “Ozon”, one of the largest marketplaces in the CIS, is negotiating the launch of sales in Turkmenistan. This was reported by the company's press secretary Kristina Topalova at the international exhibition “Türkmentel-2024”. According to the company representative, the platform's assortment includes more than 370 million products of various categories. At the moment, “Ozon” operates in ten countries and considers Turkmenistan as a promising market for expansion.
2. The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting between Deputy Minister Azat Atayev and Sarah Chidgey, Regional Export Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The parties discussed the possibilities of expanding partnership in the field of education. They discussed the possibilities of accreditation of Turkmen educational institutions, as well as holding a meeting of the Turkmen-British Trade and Industry Council in 2025.
3. Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation Esen Aydogdyev met with the Chairperson of the General Council of the Eurasian and African Peoples' Assembly Svetlana Smirnova. During the talks, the parties discussed cooperation between Eurasian and African countries and business structures, higher education institutions and scientific centers of Turkmenistan. The possibility of holding the Days of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Turkmenistan was also considered.
4. Chairman of the “Turkmenaragatnashyk” Agency Hadjimurat Hudaykuliyev, during his speech at the International Conference Turkmentel-2024, emphasized the importance of digitalization and cybersecurity for the development of the country. According to him, digital technologies are transforming all spheres of life, from education to healthcare, and are becoming the basis for creating smart cities and efficient industry. Hudaykuliev recalled that last year the first “smart” city of Turkmenistan, Arkadag, was opened and has already received international recognition. He also spoke about plans to expand high-speed Internet and introduce 5G technologies throughout the country. Training specialists in the field of digital technologies has also become an important area. The country holds IT competitions and startup programs for school and university students. In addition, increased attention is paid to ensuring cybersecurity at the national level.
5. An annual technical meeting of experts of the locust control project was held in Ashgabat. The project is part of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization's program to improve national and regional locust control in the Caucasus and Central Asia. The project has been running since 2011, and its current phase, which Turkmenistan has joined, is being carried out with financial support from the Government of Japan. The project organizers supply field and laboratory equipment, cars and motor boats for treating reed beds with bio- and chemical pesticides, and technical means for spraying. At the same time, modern methods of combating insect pests are promoted during trainings and field missions.

6. The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced the launch of a unique railway tour “Silk Road”, which will begin running between the two countries from November 16. The four-day route runs through Almaty, Turkestan and Tashkent, permitting travelers to get acquainted with the rich historical and cultural heritage of the two countries. The tour program includes a visit to the iconic sights of the region.
7. The Indian Ministry of Defence has announced the first military space exercise. The three-day exercise was organised to comprehensively assess the capabilities of space infrastructure and identify potential risks in the event of failures in the operation of orbital systems. Particular attention was paid to the analysis of the dependence of various structures on space technologies. The exercise, whose name translates as "Exercises in the Skies Above the Earth", was attended by specialists from the Indian Defence Space Agency together with representatives of all branches of the armed forces. The programme included discussions of innovative space developments and the country's current space projects.

8. Turkmen tennis players demonstrated great success at the international tournament Ashgabat Open 2024, held in the capital of Turkmenistan. Following the results of another day of play, it became known that the entire podium in women's singles will be occupied exclusively by local athletes. Eight representatives of Turkmenistan made it to the quarterfinals of the tournament: Ilima Huseynova, Aylara Kakabayeva, Aynur Annamyradova, Nazli Hudaykuliyeva and Sulgun Ishankuliyeva, occupying the first five seeded positions, as well as Safiya Tribunskaya, Jennet Orazaliyeva and Anna Ponyatova. The success of the Turkmen tennis players is especially noteworthy given that athletes from 12 countries are taking part in the competition, including representatives of such countries with developed tennis traditions as Great Britain and India. Now fans will see exciting matches between compatriots, which will determine the distribution of places on the podium.
