Turkmenistan continues to strengthen its position as one of the key trading partners of Uzbekistan. As Trend reports, in the first nine months of 2024, trade turnover between the countries reached 867,8 million USD, showing an increase of 4,5% compared to the same period last year.
Particularly impressive dynamics were shown by Turkmenistan’s exports to Uzbekistan, which grew by 11,3% and amounted to 780,6 million US dollars. This remarkable growth underscores Turkmenistan's growing economic influence in the region.
Despite a slight decrease in Uzbek exports to Turkmenistan to 87,2 million US dollars, the overall trade turnover between the countries shows positive dynamics. This allowed Turkmenistan to enter the top ten largest trading partners of Uzbekistan.
